English language only programme
This consists of regular English Language classes. The English language classes are run from Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4 pm and 9.30 to 11.45am on Fridays, with breaks for all prayers including Jumu'ah. All of our teachers are fully qualified (BA, PGCE, CELTA or TEFL) and are native English speakers. The entire programme runs for four weeks, focusing on the four key skills of English language; learning; speaking, listening, reading and writing. There will be additional emphasis on conversation fluency and vocabulary. The curriculum is designed by competent staff from ELAS UK .
Each pupil will undergo a base assessment to ascertain his level. He will then be placed in one of three classes: beginner, intermediate or advanced. This will ensure that the teaching is tailored to each student's level. ELAS also provides learner support to students who require extra tuition and guidance. As well as daily homework, there will be short tests each week and a main exam at the end of the programme. There will also be a written report at the end of the programme for each pupil.
Part of the programme includes access to computer aided learning to build and support their learning experience. This will also be available outside teaching hours. In addition, pupils will be able to practice their spoken skills outside of the classroom with native English speakers.
This particular programme does not include any of the weekend adventure activities. However, students will participate in week day evening sports activities. Also there are nearby parks and nice walks which the students can enjoy.
