The UK Government\'s inspectorate for skills and employment known as the Adult Learning Inspectorate awarded our organization a grade 1 - ?outstanding? - for its Preparation for Life and Work programme in November 2004. Their report stated that: ?the overall effectiveness of the provision is outstanding. Leadership and management and provision in preparation for life and work are outstanding. EMTP\'s arrangements for quality improvement are satisfactory and its approach to equality of opportunity are outstanding.? [2]

The auditor concluded:

This project appears to have been well managed and been successful in its aims.

EMTP administered this project in a very organised and efficient manner. They were able to demonstrate an appropriate audit trail for the Government Office (East) claim.

Best Student Award for summer 2008 went to: Sheikh Mohamed Al-Thani (Qatar)

Mohamed Al Thani Ahli Thani is from the Royal Family of Qatar May Allah preserve them all. He was the outstanding student of summer 2008. His qualities outstretched all other students. From being a well mannered young boy aged 15 his qualities shined out, fulfilling all his home work, studying hard, participating in class and in all sports and adventure activities. He was an exceptional team player and obedient to all the leaders and supervisors.
All the ELAS UK staff voted unanimously on his first place, though he was closely followed by other students who also had exceptional qualities. We have no doubt that Mohammed will be a leader of the future God willing. We wish him all the best and hope he rejoins us in the near future
