We do everything possible to make students feel like at home. Students stay in clean and comfortable accommodation with children of the same age, boys and girls in separate blocks.
On arrival, students are met by their Group Leaders and after registrations are shown to their rooms where they are grouped according to their age and gender. We always try to mix new and returning students and we will always try to accommodate family and friends who wish to stay close to each other. The bedrooms are located in blocks with single occupancy, with shared bathroom facilities close by.
What happens in the evenings?
Our activity programme typically finishes at 8.30pm and students are free to study, socialize or relax. No one is permitted to leave the campus after 8.30pm although we do sometimes accompany students to the local 24 hour Asda supermarket for them to replenish their personal supplies.
What about bed times?
We have a strict ‘lights out’ policy after 10.30pm where no student is allowed to leave his / her room. Shortly before this time our night security guards collect room keys from all the students which means they are forced to stay indoors since they will be unable to re enter the buildings without their keys. Students are normally tired after a full day of activities, so we make sure that everyone gets a good night's rest (despite midnight feasts!).
Children aged 10 to 15 are accommodated on a separate floor from those aged 16 to 18. Our sleeping procedures make sure that all students are in their own rooms by 10.00pm every day. Students are not allowed to sleep in other students rooms.
