The UK Government\'s inspectorate for skills and employment known as the Adult Learning Inspectorate awarded our organization a grade 1 - ?outstanding? - for its Preparation for Life and Work programme in November 2004. Their report stated that: ?the overall effectiveness of the provision is outstanding. Leadership and management and provision in preparation for life and work are outstanding. EMTP\'s arrangements for quality improvement are satisfactory and its approach to equality of opportunity are outstanding.? [2]

Introduction

At the English Language Adventure School (ELAS UK ) we provide a summer school for under 18;s as well as adults. We teach English language coupled with adventure activity holidays in various parts of the UK . We specialise in teaching English to foreign students using a range of different modern methods and approaches. With a wealth of experience and a well qualified team of staff, we provide an excellent English language tuition programme.

Our package also includes activity packed adventure weekends, ensuring that the pupils' stay is both educational and enjoyable as possible. The adventures, which take place in the beautiful English countryside, give the pupils a break from the intensive week of study, enabling them to enjoy a range of activities in a relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere. The package also includes visits to the major tourist sites in London .

There are three types of courses available:

Course one is the English language programme with adventure packed activities during the weekends. These courses are run for four, six or eight weeks in the summer months of July and August 2009.

Course two is the Academic English Language programme without the adventure activities this is mainly for adults.

Course three is the one to one tuition for both adults and children.

We also provide sports activities regularly throughout the week in the evenings such as swimming, indoor five-a-side and outdoor football, tennis, basketball and badminton. The sports activities are open to all students.

The English Language Adventure School is a branch of the highly successfully Ethnic Minority Training Project. The latter has been commended by UK governmental bodies, the European Union, national newspapers, national television and BBC radio (see Appraisals)

We are fully accredited with the British Accreditation Council. We are also members of English UK.
