Learn English

There are three types of courses available. Course One is the General English Language programme with the adventure activities on the weekends.  Course Two is the Academic English Language programme designed for students preparing for University entry in autumn.  Course Three is our one-to-one English Language Courses which are ideal for students who wish to learn English in England for specific purposes, e.g. business, finance or law. The one-to-one courses are also suitable for students who just want extra personal tuition to enhance their learning. These courses are run for four weeks in the summer month of July 2009

All our teachers are native speakers and qualified with experience in teaching juniors and adults. The general English course is specially designed for ELAS UK. There are weekly tests and an end of course exam. All students will also have an end of course written report by their teacher. Students who pass their exam will be issued with a certificate of pass and attendance.

The classrooms are well organised with modern facilities needed to teach English. The average class size is between 16 and 19. Our teaching styles vary from activity based teaching and course books.

There are plenty of opportunities to speak English there is a Student Welfare Worker for each 10 students who will be living with them, mentoring them, playing sports and activities with them, accompanying them at all times. One of their roles is to encourage the students to practice speaking English with them and their colleagues.

ELAS UK has an excellent reward schemes which encourages all students to practice speaking English. We also have a positive behaviour management system which encourages good behaviour in the school.
