The UK Government\'s inspectorate for skills and employment known as the Adult Learning Inspectorate awarded our organization a grade 1 - ?outstanding? - for its Preparation for Life and Work programme in November 2004. Make new friends
Our programme gives students an opportunity to make friends from all over the world. The campus has students from all over Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This ensures that your child meets friends from other countries around the globe and uses their English skills at all times.


Exceptional student care
We provide 24 hours supervision from the moment we collect your child at the airport right through their stay with us to the end of the programme when we check them into the airport terminal and see the plane off. On-site, there is at least one member of ELAS UK staff for every twelve children and all staff have been police checked. Our school is safe and secure and medical staff are always on call.

 

We aim for high standards of teaching
Our teachers are qualified, native speakers and aim to equip all young learners with improved communication skills and a greater understanding of the English language and local culture.

 

Individual attention
The average class size is 16 to 19. Each class has a designated teacher, who is responsible for your child's language and learning progress and ensures they receive individual attention. All students receive an individual end of term report explaining their strengths and weaknesses.

 

Good facilities
We provide excellent educational and recreational facilities at our school. The school has modern teaching resources including an ICT suite where students have access to free internet.

Exciting Adventure weekends
The adventure weekends give students the opportunity to take part in exciting, adventurous activities. They are an integral part of the course, which means students prepare for their weekend in class prior to their trip and then use language they learnt from the adventure weekend in their project work. Students are supervised throughout the study tour.


Records of achievement
Throughout the course, students record their achievements and experiences in an ELAS UK portfolio, which they can show friends and family. The portfolio uses the Common European Framework Scale. After the course, your child will receive a full report on their achievements.
